Just in time for tonight's series finale of popular FX show Sons of Anarchy, we learn that the part does not have to end. No, it’s not the prequel show creator Kurt Sutter has mentioned, but rather Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect, a new mobile interactive story game from newly formed studio Orpheus Interactive with the help of Silverback Games.

The first episode of the chapter based title will hit mobile phones and tablets in early 2015, giving you just enough time to burn through a seven day binge-watch of the entire series. It will “set the stage for a brand new way to take in the Sons of Anarchy universe” and allow players and fan to check out a new, original story, location and a “previously unknown chapter of the motorcycle club.”
Additional episodes will be arriving on an “on-going basis”, though no word was given how many episodes The Prospect will entail or, if successful, a second season would be in order.
Game Of Thrones Telltale Adventure Review Roundup: Oh So Good But Not Great
Recently, HBO's Game of Thrones got the storytelling game makeover from the incredible Telltale Games Studio. Before that, The Walking Dead premiered on consoles and phones to incredible reviews. No doubt FOX looked at the success of the latter and put a Sons of Anarchy game into action.
Kurt Sutter has been on board since earlier this year, tweeting "I cannot give you any more details, but I will tell you that there will definitely be an SOA game…and it's pretty f**king awesome.“
A storytelling game is a perfect way to expand the scope of a show or other series without incurring the massive costs and personnel associated with a big production. It also lets the player not just watch what’s happening, but actively change the outcomes through their own choices. With Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and now Sons of Anarchy, expect more of your favorite shows and other media to get the storytelling game treatment in later years.
