The brand new Game Awards took place on Friday, streamed live for fans around the world. In addition to revealing some games and showing new footage, the event handed out awards to the best titles across multiple categories.
The Geoff Keighly-produced show was a success, with a better direction and production values than those in the past. Many famous faces from gaming were present, and the entertainment was generally good (and, particularly toward the end, at times pretty great).
