So you slept through Black Friday and forgot about Cyber Monday. Don't give up hope yet. Retail stores are still making up names for days of the week where they can offer great pre-holiday sales, and today is Green Monday. On this most revered second Monday in December, Best Buy is offering a free PC, Xbox or PlayStation game to anyone who buys two other games.
Build Your Own PS4 Bundle With Amazon's Green Monday Sales
The sale applies to all currently available games for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Obviously, the cheapest game of the three the buyer picks out will be the one that Best Buy marks free. Still, it's a good way to cheaply catch up on all the games you've missed out on this year or round out your shopping list if you need to buy presents for three different relatives who all like games.
Unfortunately for Nintendo fans, Wii U and Wii games don't seem to be included in the offer. Handheld games seem to be out of the question as well – the Vita is specifically mentioned as being excluded – which means no picking up Super Smash Bros. for 3DS as a freebie for buying two other games.
Street Fighter V Confirmed As PS4/PC Exclusive
The deal also excludes pre-order games, so don't try to reserve your copies of Dying Light and Evolve then expect to get a free game out of it. Finally, the offer excludes Best Buy's Marketplace seller. The only games up for the three-for-two deal are the games that Best Buy has in stock.
