Borderlands The Pre Sequel Second DLC Pack Adds New Survival Mode, Increases The Level Cap And Offers More Violence, Less Walking

Survive The Holodrome, A New DLC Assault Mode For Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! This December; Level Cap Raised For More Mayhem

Attention Vault Hunters, the second batch of DLC content is flying to the moon in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! this month.

Things Are Getting...Steamy For Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round, On Consoles And PC

The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught arrives for the last-gen title on December 16. “This add-on pack features all-new narrative content including appearances from veteran Vault Hunters Gaige and Axton, who recently returned to the Crimson Raiders HQ. While they were gone on a mission, they missed out on the events of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! and ask Athena to recount the story. Since they’re not the most patient badass Vault Hunters on Pandora, they just want an abbreviated version – only the juicy, violent stuff.”

Focusing only on the juicy and violent stuff is precisely what the game needs. While I enjoyed my time on Elpis, there was a lot of downtime. The strength of Boderlands is not exploration, nor the constant running back and forth, but rather guns. Lots and lots of guns and any chance to use them.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Will Add The Suicide Squad In 2015

To that effect, the DLC introduces the Holodrome Assault in which the game throws wave after wave of enemy, including several bosses, at you and asks you to survive. To help with that, the pack also increases the level cap to 60, giving Nisha and crew 10 additional skill points to divvy up.

Players who are keeping a close eye on a low bank account will also get the Ultimate Vault Hunter mode, which offers fans a third opportunity for a playthrough. "The free patch addition creates a more difficult challenge and adds the ability to reset campaign progress at any time, as well as enemies scaling up to your current level."

More patch notes will be available closer to release at support.gearbox.com.

Players can purchase the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught for $9.99. Or you can pick up the Season Pass for $29.99, which will give you access to all content, both current and future. Pick up four packs for the price of three.

See you on Elpis.
