Grinding Gear Games is prepping the PvP centric patch 1.3.0 for their popular and dense dungeon crawling title Path of Exile. To give players a taste of what is to come as they battle alongside, and against, other players, the company has released a new trailer highlighting the Torment Challenge League.
Civilization: Beyond Earth Hopes To Patch Both PC And Mac At The Same Time
Torment is not just a clever, bad-ass sounding name, it’s a philosophy in the new League. Players are assaulted by the tormented spirits of long dead criminals whose only desire is to protect whatever wealth they accrued during their (presumably short) time in the world.
The official press release goes into a little more macabre detail- “Eager to protect their trove, spirits flee when encountered, imbuing nearby monsters with dangerous powers and improving their item drops. It's possible for spirits to possess rare and unique enemies, greatly increasing their threat and potential value to treasure-seeking exiles.”
The Imperial Fists Come To Space Hulk: Ascension This December
Patch 1.3.0 hits servers next Friday, December 12 at 8 p.m. Eastern. You can read up on all the upcoming changes, both major and minor, here. The list will be updated as patch day draws closer. Players wishing to hop right into the player on player action will have the ability to create a level 28 blank slate character made specifically for PvP combat. Alas, you must collect armor and weapons the old fashion way.
Fans of Diablo and Torchlight will find a lot to love in Path of Exile’s deep customization tree and wealth of items. You can start playing Path of Exile for free, so head on over to the Official Site to get started.
