Hearts, Stars, Lollipops and…Zombies?

What do you get when you combine a chainsaw, a cheerleader, zombies, and a stripper pole?

9 times out of 10 you get a huge mess, but not on June 12th, when Lollipop Chainsaw becomes available in stores.

Following the classic tale of cheerleader turned zombie hunter, Chainsaw's follows buxom blonde Juliet as she hacks and slashes her way through the decayed denizens of San Romero (named for the godfather of the zombie film genre) High.

Featuring, "more blood than a Texas slaughterhouse, more skin than a girls locker room, and more severed heads than the French revolution," Lollipop Chainsaw promises buckets of blood. But Chainsaw isn't your typical zombie gore fest. Instead of exploding into a pool of festering innards, zombies will burst into hearts, rainbows, stars and sparkles, like a bowl of cadaverous Lucky Charms.

Juliet also has a less than traditional partner. Her "Romeo" is the decapitated cranium of her late, albeit still alive, boyfriend Nick. Despite being no more than a talking head, Nick is not completely helpless. Juliet can stick Nick's head onto a headless zombie, which Nick can then "pilot" to then aid Juliet. Juliet's sisters will also make an appearance to aid Juliet in the zombie massacre; Cordelia with a sniper rifle, and Rosalind behind the wheel of a school bus.

The game features combos where the player alternates between light and heavy attacks, as well as an upgrade system for her chainsaw. Players will also be able to unlock a dozen or more outfits for Julia by playing through the campaign mode. Lollipop Chainsaw is released for Xbox360 and PS3 June 12th
