The biggest discussion point for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, besides why there's a black Storm Trooper (learn the cannon, it will answer your questions!), is who is speaking during the voiceover. It has been revealed that despite rumors, the voice is none other than Andy Serkis. The actor confirmed he did the voice work himself in a quick interview with Absolute Radio as covered by Empire.
Star Wars To Return To Marvel Comics After Decades Apart
It was much rumored that the voice over was done by Sherlock and sometimes gold hoarding dragon, Benedict Cumberbatch. Even though he was a fan favorite, it turns out Serkis is actually the winner of this imaginary battle.
"I can confirm that, actually," he said, when asked if that was actually him. Serkis however could not confirm what part he is playing in the film, as of yet.
Reshoots Force Avengers To Reassemble In January
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the newest installment in the Star Wars saga. The film will feature many brand new faces but there will also be old favorites showing up as well such as Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford to round out the cast that features John Boyega (the controversial Storm Trooper) and Max von Sydow to name a few.
The trailer was released last week to the delight of fans that had been long awaiting an official look after a slew of fan made fakes. The trailer didn't give much information but there were a lot of shots of crafts, droids, and one light saber. Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out in theaters in December of 2015 so there's quite a bit of a wait.
