Apple to Integrate iOS 6 OS, Mini Dock Connector on iPhone 5?

Rumors relating to Apple's iPhone 5 continue to be a debated topic and this time speculated that the company will come with an iOS6 OS and a smaller version for the dock connector.

It has been speculated that Apple will do away with its 30-pin Dock Connector and instead is planning to replace it with a mini dock connector which will have 16 pins. This is a step for Apple to make space for other new technologies to be included in its products as reported by iMore.

"Apple already has an agreement which would allow for micro-USB to interconnect their gadgets, but so far the change has not been seen on Apple devices. However the 30-pin dock connector limits ability to make a thinner mobile device," reports Gather.

The agreement undertaken by Apple is way of including more innovative technologies into its latest iPhone. According to speculations that have been going on, the hole of the dock connector is rumoured to have be "pill shaped" rather than rounded rectangle. The new smaller dock that has been developed not only for the iPhone but apparently for all future products of Apple if we have to consider the rumours that have gone viral.

"It will be used on all upcoming devices, including an update to the iPod touch that's expected this year, and will almost certainly feature a similarly updated screen and CPU,"  writes iLounge.

With the discussions and speculations going on around with the mini dock connector, developers are also keen on knowing the functions and features of the new connector. Whether this newest technology that Apple comes up with will benefit developers and accessories produced will be compatible with the company already know for exclusivity and doing away with third party software's for its products.

"Developers will want to see the new interconnect. If it's a magnet-based interconnect, they're going to want to see if they can redevelop their existing accessory range to make them compatible with the new phone," writes ComputerWorld.

The next generation iPhone is heavily rumored to arrive with iOS 6. Although Apple has released the new iOS 5.1 along with the new iPad, it is widely expected that the new Smartphone will bring the next version of iOS along with it as the company always had the tradition of launching a software upgrade whenever a new device was announced.

Although Apple has left out Siri from the new iPad, it doesn't mean that they will do the same when the new iPhone comes out. A version 2.0 of Siri is expected to arrive with the device that will have access to more languages.

With Apple's iPhone likely to be launched in June or maybe in October, the iPhone will come with features like 4G LTE connectivity powered by a 1.5 GHz quadcore A6 processor along with 1GB or RAM and retina display of 1280 x 720 resolutions. The newest innovation the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology is also expected to be included in the next iPhone 5.
