Publisher Square Enix announced today that many of its titles will be going on sale over its online store starting on Thanksgiving and running through the following Monday.
EA's Origin Store Is Getting In On The Black Friday Fun
In a combination Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, Square Enix will be marking some of its titles up to 60 percent off. The sale starts at 12:01 a.m. (Pacific) on Thursday, November 27, and continues all the way until 11:59 p.m. (Pacific) on Monday, December 1. These deals will be found only on Square Enix's own online store.
Among the games that Square Enix says will be on sale are relatively new titles like Drakengard 3, Thief, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. The publisher also notes that many more games will be on sale. You'll likely be able to find the best prices on games that have been out for a while, so if you've been waiting to try out a certain Square Enix-published game, check over the weekend to see if you can score it for cheap.
Green Man Gaming Is Feeling The Black Friday Love With AAA Games
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster came Stateside earlier this year to pretty solid critical praise. The Sony exclusive combines both games from the Final Fantasy X storyline onto one disc and includes plenty of content that was previously unavailable to players outside of Japan. Drakengard 3 is a PS3 exclusive that actually serves as a prequel to the action RPG series.
Thief was one of the more anticipated releases of earlier this year, though it ended up coming out to lukewarm reception. The game – available on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 – is a reboot of the classic Eidos Thief series, bringing stealth-focused gameplay back into the public view.
