With God of War: Ascension announcing its multiplayer game for the first time in the series, the director of God of War: Ascension, David Jaffe, may have also hinted on the game's possibility of being a shooter.
"There is a gun in one of the games," Jaffe said in an interview with IGN. "And you hold it. And all the things that I can sit here and passionately discuss and preach to you are absolutely things that I'm thinking about doing if it turns out the game we're thinking about doing gets made next involves a gun and a person holding a gun," he further added.
Jaffe reacted when he saw the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 trailer admitting that he loves the genre and may incorporate it in the future.
With God of War: Ascension coming as the first multiplayer in the series, Jaffe seems to have approved the decision of making the game into a multiplayer.
"I think it looks cool. It looks like another great, impeccably executed Sony Santa Monica game," Jeff as told to IGN.
God of War: Ascension is an epic action adventure game allowing players to take the role of exSpartan warrior Kratos as he tries to break bond from god, Ares. Kratos is sentenced to life in a titan sized prison after he is tricked to kill his wife and child. Players will solve intricate puzzles as they try to find redemption for Kratos.
Developers Santa Monica Studio and publishers Sony Computer Entertainment will have to come together to incorporate what the final game will look like putting all their ideas together before its release in the spring of 2013.
When God of War: Ascension does comes out, fans will get a taste of what its like battling with gods in multiplayer. Perhaps in the near future, they may also know what it feels like to shoot at a god as well.
