Not too long ago, Driveclub developer Evolution Studios said that they would be releasing a DLC pack for free as thanks to those who had purchased the full game and have been patient with the server problems that have slowly been put under control. Now, Evolution has released a little preview for this upcoming free expansion, showing off the five slick cars being added in the Ignition pack.
Matchmaking Issues Continue In The Master Chief Collection
The Ignition expansion pack will be dropping this week on the PlayStation Store as a free download. In total, the pack will add five vehicles, 11 tour events and five trophies. If you want to go see these new cars in action, Evolution posted a teaser video on the Driveclub Facebook page. The cars being introduced include the fierce-looking W Motors Lykan Hypersport, the low-riding Caterham SP/300.R and the Renault Twin'Run, a squat little vehicle that is somehow also a legitimate racing machine.
The Ignition expansion pack was originally going to be the first content pack given to season pass subscribers, but it was changed to a free download for everyone as a peace offering to the game's players that have dealt with server issues since launch. Season pass holders shouldn't feel slighted, though. Evolution will be adding an additional DLC pack into the game next summer so that the season pass will still contain the promised amount of exclusive content.
Get Familiar With The Most Useful Mods In Civilization: Beyond Earth
According to the comments section of the teaser video, Evolution is still treating server optimization as a development priority, with an "all hands on deck" attitude still present at the developer. Those who aren't qualified to help with the server issue, however, are working on future additions to the game like dynamic weather and replays.
Driveclub is now available as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
