On Saturday, the Xbox One officially turns one year old, and Microsoft is celebrating the whole weekend by sending some freebies to the Xbox One community.
The weekend celebration is detailed in a post over on Major Nelson's website. Starting Friday, Xbox One players will receive a little digital gift basket from Microsoft as a thank you for their support over this first year. These goodies include a special Year One background for your Xbox One (with early adopters who have the Day One achievement getting an exclusive Day One background as well) and a Year One image you can use for social media pictures, desktop backgrounds and the like.
Also included are free movie rentals for both Halo 4 Forward Into Dawn and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The latter deal even includes a small collection of Dragon Ball Z TV episodes for players in the U.S. and Canada.

More substantive prizes will also be given away to random players. These special gifts can be as big as a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One bundle or as small as a special sword in Assassin's Creed Unity.
To be elegible to receive any of these prizes, players must have puchased an Xbox One before November 11, 2014, in one of the console's 13 launch markets. They also have to be at least 17 years old with more than 10 hours logged into their Xbox One.
