Samsung Unveils Milk Video Streaming Service, Available Now For Samsung Phones On Google Play

Samsung Now Has Its Own Video Streaming Service To Throw In With All Of The Others Out There

After launching its Milk music streaming service earlier this year, Samsung has unveiled an expansion to the app: Milk Video.

Google Wants To Pay You To Spread The Word About Google Wallet

As you might expect, Milk Video allows mobile users to stream videos, but only if they're on one of nine compatible Samsung phones. The service will offer content from a couple of Samsung partners like VICE, Vevo, Funny or Die and College Humor. Once you start watching and following specific content creators, Milk Video will start to serve you curated videos and become a more personalized streaming experience.

There's also traces of a social aspect in the app. The interface makes it so you can easily share videos you watch over social media without leaving the app.

Navigation has been reworked for Milk Video, with videos being presented in a scrollable list. To keep video clutter down, the app lets you swipe right to remove a video from the list and swipe left to get to the social features (Tinder users might need to reprogram some muscle memory). Of course, as the curation software starts to get accustomed to your tastes, the list should require fewer swipes to the right.

The app can be picked up now for free over on Google Play. To use the app, you need to make sure that you are at least running Android 4.3. You can find a full list of supported Samsung phones below:
