Frame rate issues have been a popular topic of complaint among Assassin's Creed Unity players since launch. Ubisoft's patches so far have not touched this particular problem, but an update posted to the game's live updates page yesterday says that the game's developers are looking into the problem and trying out a couple of fixes.
Patch 2 For Unity Hits Xbox One But Has Some Unexpected Consequences
The post details how the development team has streamlined and optimized a couple of Unity's processes to give CPUs an easier time running the game in the hope that this will allow systems to eke out some additional frames per second. According to the post, adjusting the size of the game's NPC crowds does not have a major affect on frame rate, even though AI crowds were given as the original reason for the game's frame rate lock at 30fps.
The update says that the team will try to include these updates in Patch 3, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.

Ubisoft also updated everyone about the status of the game's "No Face" glitch, one of the game's more viral bugs. According to the post, that particular bug only occurred on a couple of graphics cards on the PC version of Unity, and it was fixed by the Day One patch. So if you're still getting this bug, you might want to make sure you're actually getting these updates that Ubisoft is rolling out.
