The last major update for Tanki Online introduced smart cooldowns, a way to make the game's system of supply drops more strategic. Now, this move toward more strategic supply drops is complete with the new predictive drop mechanic.
Xbox One Players Finally Get The Second Half Of The Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Lag Patch
With predictive drops, players will be able to see what kind of supply is dropping onto the stage before it gets there. If they notice the arrival of a drop box, players can now see what kind of supply they'll get from it and be able to decide on the fly whether or not they feel the need to actually go pick it up. With the update, supply boxes will also now remain on the stage until they're picked up. They'll no longer disappear.
Another change happening to the supply drop system was announced in the most recent Tanki developer V-Log. In the video, the developers announced that they will be introducing the option to play pro battles without the smart cooldown system for players who still prefer the old version of the supplies mechanic.

Also announced in the video was the return of the Cologne map. Originally intended as a limited-time map to celebrate the game's appearance at Gamescom this year, the map had received enough attention from the community that it's been put back into the game for players to enjoy.
Tanki Online is now available to play right in your PC browser.
