Publisher Iceberg Interactive and Turkish development studio Zoetrope Interactive have released the updated version of their 2007 Myst-esque horror adventure Darkness Within: In Pursuit Of Loath Nolder onto Steam for PC.
ArcheAge Mobile Version Announced
The game is a horror title inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, without whom modern horror would simply not exist. "With enhanced graphics and Steam achievements, Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder will send shivers up your spine by taking players to a disturbing corner of the human psyche."
Loath Nolder is the first of two games released in the series. The second, The Dark Lineage, was released in 2010. A third was rumored to be in development but never came to pass (in the official announcement post, however, they do not count out the idea of returning for a final go around). The second is currently undergoing the director's cut treatment as well and will be on sale via Steam in a few weeks.
Face An Endless Alaskan Blizzard In Never Alone, Next Week On Steam
Like many Lovecraftian tales, Loath Nolder puts you in the shoes of a normal man, in this case a detective, who then slowly goes mad. While investigating the murder of a local man in the town of Wellsmoth you stumble across things that mortal men were not meant to bear witness to. Basically, every Lovecraft story ever.
Darkness Within: In Pursuit Of Loath Nolder is available for purchase for $6.79 until November 20, at which point it reverts to its regular price of $9.99.
