Super Smash Bros Wii U will be largely similar to the 3DS version in terms of gameplay, characters, and stages, but there are notable differences between the two as well.

The 3DS version had been the focus of most reveals leading up to its launch--the largest info dump for the Wii U edition was delivered recently in a livestream. The reveals included the board game-style Smash Tour: World Smash, eight player battles, playable Mewtwo, and more.

Today's picture--one is posted daily on the Miiverse forums by series director Masahiro Sakurai--isn't a full feature or game mode, it is something we have yet to see. Following the Yoshi's Wooly World and the Pilot Wings Wuhu Island stages, another new level has been revealed. This time its based on Mario Kart 8, as you can see in the image above. Here's Sakurai's description:
"Here's another new stage!! The Mario Circuit stage is modeled after Mario Kart 8, so the course flips upside down. On the upside-down course, Shy Guys jump their karts upside-down too!! It's amazing how the course twists on this stage. Of course, the gravity for the fighters will always go downward."

While the new stages are not in the video (they were revealed in these Miiverse posts, after all), it contains a look at the stage builder and the many other features mentioned above. Super Smash Bros for Wii U is due out November 21.
