Assassin's Creed Unity Initiates Update: Website Up But Syncing Still Spotty, Devs Say No Progress Has Been Lost

Syncing Assassin's Creed Unity To Initiates Is Still Spotty, But The Devs Say That No Player Progress Has Been Lost

Assassin's Creed Unity players are still having issues syncing their game with the Assassin's Creed Initiates online service, but the issue looks to be slowly getting resolved.

Assassin's Creed Unity's Initiates Functions Were Broken At Launch

Yesterday, when plenty of day-one Unity players were reporting that the game's Initiates functions weren't behaving properly, you couldn't even log onto the Initiates website. Today, the website looks to be up and running, though players on the forums are still reporting that syncing between the game and the website remains unreliable.

Some players are also worriedly posting that they have lost all of their previous game data on Initiates as well. Previous games like Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag had also supported Initiates syncing, and players have reported that they can't even see their existing progress on Initiates. One Ubisoft community manager, however, posted on the forums saying that this is only temporary.

"Initiates and other services are currently having intermittent issues, so please accept my apologies," the post reads. "From my understanding no progress has been lost and it will all sync when services return to normal."

Assassin's Creed Unity players are able to sync with the Initiates service to gain access to a couple of small in-game bonuses and interact with Initiates Chests that are scattered around Paris.

Assassin's Creed Unity is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
