Since its reveal more than a month ago, the Apple Watch has been labelled with the same vague "early 2015" release date. Now, according to a new report, that release date could be narrowed down to the March-May window.

In news that's perhaps upsetting to Apple fans hoping to get their hands on the upcoming wearable around the beginning of the new year, the Apple Watch is set to be released in the spring, according to a report on 9to5Mac. The new information comes from a video that Apple retail employees received from Angela Ahrendts, Apple's senior vice president of retail and online stores.
In the video, from which 9to5Mac was able to get a transcript, Ahrendts states that Apple's retail stores are in for the long haul as they weather the holiday season, the Chinese New Year and, finally, a watch release in the spring. We can then assume that we'll be seeing the Apple Watch sometime in the second quarter of 2015, if not slightly before then.

Next year, Chinese New Year will fall on Thursday, February 19, so don't expect to be seeing any Apple Watches on the shelves before then.
The Apple Watch is putting a lot of emphasis on customizability. The watch itself comes in a few different models, and every model can easily swap out different bands if the wearer feels like wearing a silicon band one day and a stainless steel one the next.
