A new patch for Minecraft: PS Vita Edition is rolling out across Europe and North America today, console developer 4J Studios announced, that will fix a handful of game-crashing and save-corrupting bugs.
Minecraft Has A New Free Halloween Texture Pack As Well As A Steampunk Pack For A Dollar
The patch was announced last week, but is only going live today. The first fix is to prevent the game from crashing when a player saves a game after resetting the Nether. The patch before this one also fixed a couple of crashes and hangs, so hopefully the new port will start to run more reliably.
A couple of issues with save data have also been addressed. Selecting "Save and Exit" shortly after autosaving will no longer pose the threat of corrupting the game's save data. Players can also now transfer saves to and from the Vita version without worrying about forfeiting their entire inventory.
The Last Vita Patch Also Helped Minecraft Not Crash As Often
The 1.02 patch is also clearing up a couple of smaller issues. If you want to see the full patch notes, you can head over to the Minecraft Forum.
As a bonus announcement, 4J also revealed over Twitter that the free Halloween texture pack that released on Xbox this week has now made it to the PlayStation 3 version of the game ahead of schedule and just in time for the holiday.
