2K Turns NBA 2K15 Face Scans Gone Wrong Into Horrifying Halloween Masks, Displays Masterful Self-Deprecation Skills

Sometimes, you just have to know when to laugh at yourself.

NBA 2K15 made headlines for the wrong reasons after launch when its face-scanning feature was discovered to not quite work right for many fans. The feature scans images of your head using your system's camera, and transfers your face onto you're your created pro player in the game. Some lighting and background issues, however, were resulting in severely distorted and horrific in-game faces.

2K has decided to turn the situation around into a joke with some timely masks for Halloween. As you can see in the image above from its official Facebook page, 2K collected the most twisted face scan pictures and turned them into wearable masks.

They can turn any costume you have into a freakish mashup, or genuinely disturb those around you on their own with the lifeless, haunting facial features. If your friends don't know what the faces are from, even better--they seem even creepier out of context. It's probably the empty eye sockets, bald heads, and facial feature soup. Print one out, cut around the lines, and use a string or stick to create the weirdest costume you'll probably ever wear.
