Additional Driveclub Servers Added To Improve Your Car-Driving Fantasies, Still No PS Plus Version

Online racing title Driveclub has been experiencing severe service issues since launch, but developers Evolution Studios have taken yet another step toward improving the experience.

In its last update, Evolution told us Driveclub should be playable by the majority of owners, many of whom were having trouble getting online at all since release. Now, the latest update brought more servers online, which should go a long way to improving service even further.

"There are more servers coming online and there will be a significant server update to improve performance in the next 24 hours. We will also be running performance diagnostics around this update, but there shouldn't be much disruption or downtime."

"This server update will improve online performance across the game and it also brings specific improvements for multiplayer racing and leaderboard updates."

By now, the additional servers will have gone online, theoretically improving the connection--anyone out there notice an increase in quality? Evolution plans to continue work, of course, as the team seeks the level of performance it was hoping for out of the gate, and has to do so before it can move on to "bigger and better" news.

This would no doubt include the launch of the free PlayStation Plus version of the game, which has been delayed in order for the developers to focus on fixing the paid version. The PS Plus edition has significantly less content than the full game, but a large segment of fans had been forward to trying it--hopefully they'll get a chance to do that sooner than later.
