Max Payne fans had quite a week when development company "Rockstar Games" released several exciting news ranging from new shotgun weapons, multiplayer playable demos, and dates for mobile app releases.
SHOTGUNS
Rockstar unveiled a new video trailer showcasing some new powerful shotguns for its upcoming title Max Payne 3. The game's main character, Max Payne, is seen firing an M4 Super 90 semi-automatic combat shotgun. In the following frames, he is blasting away gangsters with an M500 pump-action shotgun, followed by a lightweight Super Sport, Sawed off Dual shotgun, and a SPAS-15 combat shotgun.
"These close-quarters specialists are just as great to make a noisy entrance as they are at dropping bad guys with their ferocious heavy rounds," wrote Rockstar Games, referring to the new weapons.
MULTIPLAYER
Max Payne 3's multiplayer mode will be available to demo at its Rockstar Booth during the PAX East video game convention in Boston. Fans have the opportunity to experience the games's cooperative or competitive gameplay.
Players can join fellow gamers and fire an array of weapons to complete mission objectives or blast each other's heads off in competitive mode.
"We're proud to announce that we will be at PAX East this weekend (today April 6th through Sunday April 8th) with Max Payne 3 playable at our booth (#912) on all three platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC," stated Rockstar Games on Max Payne 3's official website.
MOBILE
Lastly, gamers can experience Max Payne on mobile devices as Rockstar announced that "Max Payne Mobile" will be releases for Apple iOS and Android.
The classic Max Payne PC game returns in mobile form with optimized controls, HD graphics, and social features using Rockstar's "Social Club" platform.
Max Payne Mobile will be available for iOS users on April 12 and an Android version coming out April 26. The game app will support devices running Android, the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4, iPad 1, iPad 2 and the new iPad.
