Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment released its latest update for the "Batman: Arkham City Lockdown" app for Apple devices with iOS.
The free update includes a new level, Boss missions, Challenge missions, and new character cameos from Poison Ivy and Robin.
Fans will be pleased to see Batman's female nemesis Poison Ivy taking over the minds of Gotham City's police unit as well as the caped crusader's sidekick Robin. Players control Batman as he is pitted into combat against brainwashed police officers and his own partner.
The new iOS updates came shortly after the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 version of "Batman: Arkham City" was rumored to released a DLC featuring Harley Quinn and Robin. "Batman: Arkham City Lockdown" developers, NetherRealm Studios, updated the iOS version exclusively for Apple mobile devices.
The game received further optimization for the iPad with higher 2048x1536 resolution for improved visuals and graphics. Additional wallpaper and a new Batman Year One costume is available for download. Three new DC comics will also be available within the app using the Comixology Viewer.
Past updates from NetherRealm Studios included additional skins, achievements, increased level cap, and Harley Quinn. Its latest updates will surely bring fresh gameplay to Batman fans.
Batman Arkham City Lockdown is now available for download in the App Store for $5.99 and includes the latest update. Players may also choose to purchase the Batman Year One costume for $0.99.
