Squadrons of cybernetic soldiers, punching bad guys into the path of an oncoming bus and close up interactions with Kevin Spacey's CGI'd face. What more were you expecting from the launch trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare?
Advanced Warfare Offering Players A Free Next-Gen Upgrade Until April
Usually, game companies will release launch trailers the Monday before the games come out. Apparently, Activision wants to give its fans a two-week headstart. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare doesn't officially launch until November 4, but you can catch the fast-paced launch trailer now.
The trailer puts a lot of focus on Jonathan Irons, the CEO of Atlas played by actor Kevin Spacey. Atlas is the private military corporation at the center of Advanced Warfare's plot. In an era when national governments have become ineffective, Irons' army of soldiers for hire have become one of the most powerful organizations in the world.
Xbox One Bundle Including Assassin's Creed Unity And Black Flag Announced
Of course, the trailer also includes plenty of the fast-paced combat Advanced Warfare has to offer. Scenes of soldiers flying around using their robotic exosuits, infiltrating hostile buildings and hopping into heavily armed battle mechs populate the new trailer, giving longtime fans of the series an idea of how the pace and scope of the game have changed in the franchise's newest evolution.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC starting November 4. Players can also, however, preorder the game's Day Zero edition, giving them access to the game on November 3. The Day Zero edition also includes the "advanced arsenal," two custom weapons and a chance to earn double XP on that first day of playing.
