The DirectX team also announced that the newest version of its software will be compatible with Unreal Engine 4, the next iteration of the popular graphics engine that powers many of the biggest video games.
The Windows 10 technical preview is available now through the Windows Insider program--anyone can join and try out the new OS as it undergoes development. The DirectX team encourages anyone involved in its DX12 early access program to enroll in Windows Insider and experiment with Windows 10. The offer ties in to Unreal Engine 4, as well, giving even more incentive to developers.
