Extended Editions do not just apply to the movies anymore. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor comes out tomorrow, but the party does not have to stop just because you beat the game. Today, Monolith released the Season Pass trailer for all the upcoming content you can expect to find.
The Witcher Board Game Is Going To Be Awesome
Several new story missions will be made available. In addition to the previously announced Bright Lord quest, which places you as a live Celebrimbor as he battles against Sauron during the second age, players will also gain access to the Guardians of the Flaming Eye orc quest wherein you "face Sauron's elite Defenders before the Black Gate and earn the Rising Flame rune." I don't know exactly what Rising Flame rune is, but it sure sounds like something you find in a Legendary Engram.
In Lord of the Hunt, Talion will team up with Beorn, the shapechanger featured very briefly at the beginning of The Desolation of Smaug to take on the great and mythical monsters of Middle-earth. You'll gain unique runes and skills by defeating them.

Season pass holders will also gain access to the early trial versions of three new challenge modes:
Test of Speed Challenge Mode - You can demonstrate your efficiency in battle and earn high scores for Talion's speed in defeating your foes.
Test of Wisdom Challenge Mode - You can prove your strategic abilities, through earning points for skill, speed and efficiency.
Endless Challenge Mode - This mode will continually spawn new legions of enemies. The Runes that you will earn will provide powerful upgrades.
All for the low, low price of $14.99 for the pass, which also gives you access to future content, skins, etc. You can still pre-order the game and get the Dark Ranger costume pack, too.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is out on PC, Xbox One and PS4 tomorrow, September 30. The Xbox 360 and PS3 version is out in November. Watch the season pass trailer below.
