IMC Rising, the third DLC content pack for Respawn's debut game Titanfall, dropped today and adds three new diverse maps to the game's lineup.
Titanfall Update Adds Titan-less Game Mode, No Word On Whether Game Will Be Renamed Fall
The Backwater map features a brewery perfect for pilot and Titan combat. The hilly exterior gives the giant mech suits plenty of room to brawl. An underground grain storage unit with a low ceiling, however, lets pilots battle it out in their own arena without having to worry about a Titan bursting in and ruining the fun of man-to-man combat. The level provides many different vertical levels to let nimble pilots climb up and establish a tactical advantage from above.
Zone 18 is a robotics facility that provides an exterior campus for open-air combat and interior hallways for some pilots-only warfare. The largely flat compound exterior is a perfect spot for snipers to set up shop and take someone out from across the map, while the facility interior allows for close-quarters experts to shine.
Titanfall Did Wonders For EA's Bottom Line Last Quarter
The final map is Sand Trap, a former fuel processing facility that's dangerous enough without a team of armed hostiles shooting at you. Pilots who try to take on this level should make sure their wall running skills are up to par. Some navigable corridors lack a floor completely, with a deadly drop into fuel reservoirs waiting for anyone who misses a step.
IMC Rising is available now for $9.99. It's also available as part of the $24.99 season pass, which includes the Expedition and Frontier's Edge DLC packs.
Titanfall is available for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC systems.
