In Chariot, death is only the beginning. When a greedy king dies, his daughter and her fiancé are tasked with laying him to rest in a tomb that befits such a powerful man. The problem is that the king's ghost is still around to demand only the best resting place.

Chariot is a two-player co-op platformer that has the princess and her husband-to-be navigating the Royal Catacombs to collect precious gems and find a resting place that appeases the king's nit-picky ghost. Lucky for the two tomb raiders, the king's casket is equipped with wheels, so flying around the winding passages of the catacombs is easy.
Making sure everyone comes out in one piece, though, is the tricky bit.

The game looks to include quite a bit of puzzling as the royal couple navigates complex catacomb chambers with the bulky casket in tow. Both players are able to attach a long rope to the casket, meaning they can pull it up a slope, be pulled up by their partner or simply hang from the box as it rolls along a stretch of track.
After being in the dark for so long regarding Chariot's release date, the developer has finally confirmed when the game will finally ship, and it's coming quite soon. Chariot will release on PSN on September 30 with an Xbox One version coming out the next day on October 1, for $14.99. The game's website also says that the developers are planning to have Wii U and Steam ports as well, but those versions still just have a vague release window of Fall 2014.
