"Know Your Enemy" is a new video series from the people behind Smite that helps newcomers to the MOBA learn how to better counter enemies they come across. The inaugural video teaches players about the ins and outs of the ranged utility character Neith.

In Egyptian mythology, Neith is the goddess of war, hunting and weaving. To reflect this, the Smite character utilizes a bow and arrow to do damage from afar and lay traps across the battlefield.
As the video shows, Neith excels at making enemies' lives tougher without being in too much danger herself. Her kit revolves around her mechanic of Broken Weaves, which drop every time a god dies or when Neith uses her Back Flip ability. These Broken Weaves interact with Neith's other abilities and make them more powerful, making these highlighted points on the stage a serious hazard to her opponents.

Neith's agility can make her hard to pin down. Her Back Flip lets her get out of sticky situations in a hurry, especially considering that it grants her immunity while in the air. As her stat breakdown shows in the beginning of the video, however, Neith is somewhat of a glass cannon with amusingly low defense. Her ability to heal herself, though, helps mitigate this a little.
This video is a great place to start for players still new to Smite who don't know the intricate details of many of the game's gods. Neith is also one of the gods available for free to all new accounts, meaning people who recently decided to jump in to Smite now have a great resource to learn how to play as or against a character they automatically have access to.
Smite is now free-to-play on PC.
