Over the weekend, Nintendo dropped a new Hyrule Warriors trailer onto Youtube. The best part? It's in English.
Hyrule Warriors Cucco Trailer Debuts On The 3DS
The trailer declares itself to be for North America, but that's impossible. It's not out here...yet. We've covered a lot of the Japanese trailers over the last several months in anticipation of the Wii U Dynasty Warriors/The Legend of Zelda game. The title has been out in Japan for a month now, and is coming to Europe next week on September 19. Us lowly North Americans, alas, must wait until September 26 to get our hands on it.
The new trailer is a mix of both cinematic footage and in-game ass-kicking. Though there's little new there, it's still fun to watch it all cut and flow together with a bassy voice boldly declaring, in no uncertain terms, that Hyrule is in trouble, so let's go kick some butt, shall we?
Start Spreading The News: Hyrule Warriors Swag Coming To NYC
Between Hyrule Warriors and the upcoming Super Smash Bros, which has a 3DS version dropping in a few weeks, it appears that Nintendo is primed for a comeback. We, of course, should not call it that; they've been here for years. 2015 will be a banner year for the Wii U, if current projections hold. A whole lot of new and exciting games, many from the old catalogue, are coming to the Wii U then. There's been no better time to get the system than now.
Watch the trailer below. I hope to see it on television some day, so as to let people know, in no uncertain terms, that The Legend of Zelda has returned and my, has it grown up.
