Tekken 7 will be more focused on one-on-one battles again rather than tag teams (as in the eponymous spin-off titles). Harada-san said they were also working on difficulty scaling, so as to welcome new players who may have found Tekken Tag Tournament 2 too challenging. The game is to be released on PS4, Xbox One, PC and arcades. It makes use of the Unreal Engine 4, with Taka Kawasaki, head of Epic Games Japan claiming this will make PC their premier platform. Series veteran Akira Tohyama is back for scoring duties.
The release date is just 2015 for now. A Tekken/Pokémon hybrid is coming to Japanese arcades in 2015 as well called Pokken Tournament.
