Overkill, the developer behind the popular heist game Payday 2, is creating the single greatest 'why is this only just happening now?' DLC inspired by Hotline Miami.
Saints Row IV: Gat Out Of Hell New Character Importer
The DLC is due out on September 30. The new content was announced via Steam. When asked the question as to why Overkill is doing this, a simple 'Why the hell not?' would have sufficed. They possessed slightly more tact and responded: "Because we --ing love Hotline Miami." As well they should, too.
The pack will introduce a brand new heist, which will doubtlessly involve some sort of animal mask and a gaudy, neon color palette that just sucks your soul right out of your eyes. I do hope the guys over at Overkill inject a little of the New Wave synth inspired music from Hotline Miami.
Mortal Kombat X Weekly News Roundup
Payday 2 is a fine game, really fun. But what's even more fun are the trailers Overkill puts out. Their last DLC pack featured the exquisite acting work of the one and only Gus Fring as a demented dentist. The new trailer is a great little first person view of a guy getting roughed up for information before encountering a mysterious chicken headed character.
Hotline Miami, the Drive-inspired homage to the hedonistic excess and ruthlessness of the 1980s, is available for all major tabletop computers and the PS3 and Vita. You really, really owe it to yourself to get it. After all, you're probably not a very nice person, are you? Payday 2 is out now for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3. No word on whether the Hotline Miami DLC will be arriving for consoles.
