Three seasons of episodic gameplay from Telltale Games will soon be making their debuts on next-gen consoles. The Wolf Among Us and the first two seasons of The Walking Dead are coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One over the next two months.
The Walking Dead Confirmed For A Third Season
The next-gen ports of these three seasons have been announced for months, but we finally have more accurate release windows for all of them. The first two seasons of The Walking Dead will be shuffling their way onto the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in October, Telltale announced over Twitter. Then, in November, the pilot season of The Wolf Among Us will be available on next-gen consoles as well.
For those who haven't upgraded to the new generation yet, there's still good news. After living on older consoles solely as digital downloads, all three of these seasons will be getting retail copies on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita. These three retail discs (the two seasons of The Walking Dead come separately) will hit shelves at the same time their next-gen versions roll out, October for The Walking Dead and November for The Wolf Among Us.
Tales From The Borderlands Is One Of Telltale's Next Projects
For the uninitiated, The Walking Dead follows a group of characters trying to survive in a world infested with dangerous "walkers." Based on AMC's hit TV show, though with unique characters, each season is split into five episodes. Most of the action takes place within dialog trees, and choices made in one episode affect how characters interact in subsequent episodes. In The Wold Among Us, players control Bigby Wolf from the comic series Fables in a similar episodic format.
