Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor may be getting delayed for anyone with an Xbox 360 or PS3, but that doesn't mean we aren't still excited for the latest chapter in the Tolkien universe. Monolith today released a behind the scenes video featuring voice acting legends Nolan North and Troy Baker.
Big Delay For Last Gen Versions Of Shadow Of Mordor
The two are basically the 1970 through about 1998 Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro of the video game world. They've appeared in a lot of the same titles, but Shadow of Mordor is their Heat. They finally get to act alongside one another and the results look like they'll be suitably, wonderfully epic.
There are a few glimpses at new gameplay footage featuring Talion (Baker's hero) and The Black Hand (North's villain) staring down and threatening one another in a Tolkien-esque manner.

I suspect North is having a bit more fun. The bad guy always has more fun. The big question remains, though: do they have a rivalry going like Ali and Frazier? No...but maybe...?
Games have come a long way since the glory days of one game building something in his garage. Now there are mo-cap suits and million dollar budgets to work around. When all is said and done, though, it's the gameplay and the story that matter most. Both Baker and North, obviously, are excited about the game. They're professionals and know where their bread is buttered. Watching them dressed up in those goofy mo-cap suits, swinging LARP-esque weapons at one another is actually pretty fun to watch.
And when a game is fun to make, you can be sure it will be fun to play. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor arrives for Xbox One and PS4 on September 30. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will hit this Thanksgiving.
Watch Baker and North banter back and forth.
