The Evil Within, a new survival horror game from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, will now come out October 14 in Europe, the same day as it's North American release, Eurogamer reported.

The new release date covers both the physical and digital versions of the game from Bethesda. In the game, players take control of seasoned detective Sebastian Castellanos as he confronts someone named Ruvik, appropriately and terrifyingly voiced by Freddy Krueger and Rorschach actor Jackie Earle Haley.
The Evil Within will be paying even more attention to the east side of the Atlantic this month when it goes on a tour of GAME retail stores in the U.K. The game from developer Tango Gameworks will be stopping at 48 stores all over Great Britain for lock-in events open to fans 18 or over. Attending players will get hands-on experience ahead of the game's release in mid-October.

Not satisfied with just getting the upcoming game in players' hands early, GAME is also offering a special edition of The Evil Within that comes with a 3D Lenticular Art card, Sebastian's Diary and The Fighting Chance pack, which includes several in-game items such as a medical kit and a double barrel shotgun. The Fighting Chance pack also comes with a preorder of the game.
The Evil Within is set to hit physical and digital store shelves on October 14 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
