Emperor of YouTube PewDiePie has shut off his comments in light of their worsening quality. Instead, he will communicate with his fans on Reddit and Twitter.
Minecraft Xbox One Release Date Announced, Vita Still To Come
PewDiePie, one of the world's greatest and most well-known humorous YouTube gaming personalities, has had enough. To him, comments are a never-ending torrent of abuse, self-promotion, trolling and other miscellaneous crap he'd rather not have to deal with anymore. When your channel reaches 30 million followers and change, it's quite understandable. That's more people than quite a few European countries!
In the video he also takes on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge: rather than do it himself, he explains what the symbolism behind it is, and powerfully states he's had personal experience with the muscle-atrophying disease. He donated $1,000 though, so you can't really hold his non-participation against him.
Saints Row 4 SDK Now Available For Your Hentai Weapon Needs
No more comments though! He says there are, of course, many many "bros" still being supportive and constructive, but amidst the sea of haters he'd rather not go to the effort anymore of reaching out to the few good ones in there. While GamerGate is not specifically mentioned, it is a very big coincidence that after this huge internet-wide discussion on online harassment PewDiePie would completely randomly and without relation decide to switch off one of the big trolling sources in his life.
If you're so inclined, you can follow PewDiePie on Reddit or Twitter.
