This has become traditional for the Borderlands series, which is generally regarded as having some of the best expansions money can buy. The four add-on content packs for The Pre-Sequel will offer new characters, missions, and experiences, with each pack retailing for $9.99.
Super fans and budget-concious gamers alike will likely want to pick up the Season Pass, which will give you acccess to each of the four DLC packs as they're released for only $29.99, essentially giving you one for free. The pass will be available on PSN, Xbox Live and Windows PC.
Hands-On With Borderland's New Athena And Wilhelm Characters At E3 2014
There are no details on the content just yet, since the team is still crafting the main game and will shift work towards them after it's complete.
2K has also announced that they will be offering a special 'Shock Drop Slaughter Pit' for anyone who pre-orders the game from participating retailers. It won't be avaiable in the Season pass but they will make it available for purchase at a later date. This content will let you face the "toughest Scavs on Pandora'as boon", offering a challenge above and beyond anything in the main game.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will release on October 14 in North America and October 17 internationally.
