Tekken 7 director Katsuhiro Harada and his Twitter feed remain one of the better sources of Tekken news on the internet.
After the release of Pokémon/Tekken fighting game crossover Pokken (really!), Harada-san obviously got to field quite a few questions on the subject. Here's some of the more interesting ones! Will we be able to Pokken here in the west?
Considering now. RT @Mashudes Possible international release for Pokken Tournament?

Kasumi's Alive, More Powerful Than Heihachi? If so, maybe we'll actually have to come out of our chairs to play it. Dunno about you, but this would be a serious deterrent to me:
Thanks but It's for Arcade cabinet. RT@Teambravo1 my brother and I, both old school Pokémon fans, are VERY excited for Pokkén tournament! — Katsuhiro Harada (@Harada_TEKKEN) August 27, 2014
And if you're just not satisfied with a Tekken/Pokémon crossover game, a Tekken/Street Fighter crossover game and a new game in the main Tekken series - more stuff coming up!

Regarding a new character that may pop up in Tekken 7 - an Arab one no less:
Thank you for feedback about TEKKEN7 New character(Arab character). Now, We are considering about that (It's not decided yet). Thanks again — Katsuhiro Harada (@Harada_TEKKEN) August 26, 2014
Tekken 7 will come to current and next gen consoles, but the PC version will be the leading version thanks to the Unreal 3 engine.
Story-wise, the Mishima family saga will come to a close. There is speculation Kazuya's mom will be a character in some capacity in the game. Jin's Devil Form will be explained further. Jun Kazama is slated to return as well.
There is no release date yet, though 2015 is expected.
