The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details have been consistently coming from Nintendo ahead of the release of both versions, especially after an exciting E3. The game will be out on October 3 for 3DS and this holiday season on Wii U, though we'll likely have to wait for winter to approach for a specific release date.

Nintendo revealed multiple new playable characters during and after its E3 Digital Event, introducing four fighters that include three Super Smash Bros debutants. It looks like (though has not been confirmed) Mr. Game & Watch is returning alongside newcomers Pac-man, Lady Palutena from Kid Icarus, and the customizable Mii Fighters. Since then, we've been shown a variety of new details, ranging from stages to character costumes.
There was a wide variety of information this week from the daily updates, and since Nintendo does not post on the weekend, it's a good time to review what we were shown over the last few days.

The first post of the week was the reveal of a new Assist Trophy, this time the Nightmare Wizard from the Kirby franchise. The next was another look at the 3DS' Smash Run mode, this time showing off its stat-boosting treasure chests. Another new Assist Trophy followed later in the week with The Legend of Zelda's Demon Lord Ghirahim.

Sakurai showed off the Sounds mode, stated that you could listen while the 3DS is in Sleep Mode, and explained how the soundtrack would work in Smash Run--you can read the details of all of this here.
