The LG Mobile Global YouTube channel posted a video today teasing their new smartwatch set to be unveiled at the IFA exhibition at the end of next week. Mostly, though, they just want you to remember that it's round.

The new wearable, which Engadget reports will be called the LG G Watch R, is the second device LG is releasing for Android Wear, Google's operating system created specifically for the wearable market. LG's first Android Wear device, the G Watch, was released earlier in the summer as a launch product for the operating system along with Samsung's Gear Live. Motorola's debut device with Android Wear, the Moto 360, is set to launch early next month.
Among the influx of new devices eager to get a head start in the smartwatch market, the Moto 360 originally stood out because of its circular face. More in line with traditional watches, the Moto 360's round body immediately separated it from the rectangular bodies found all around the wearable tech industry, including the first two Android Wear devices. Now, LG is trying to tap into this hype for round smartwatches with a "perfect circle" device that's set to be announced shortly after the Moto 360's launch.

LG's teaser presents very little substantive information about this watch (other than, of course, the fact that it's round), but fortunately we won't have to wait much longer to see what's what with LG's little surprise. The IFA expo will kick off in Berlin on Sept. 5, where the teaser tells us LG will have a more proper introduction for the G Watch R.
