The second season of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will see the addition of two comic book characters - the type with code names and super suits (sort of), something the first season was in desperate need of. Meanwhile, Marvel/Disney anime inspired toon Big Hero Six causes some tumult on the comics scene.
Review: Miss Marvel #7 Ends Kamala's First Team-Up With Wolverine
Adrianne Palicki (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) and Brian Patrick Wade (Teen Wolf) have joined the cast of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD as SHIELD agent and sometime avenger Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird and Loki-powered thug Carl "Crusher" Creel aka Absorbing Man, respectively.
Mockingbird has been romantically linked to Hawkeye in the past, so could this mean future Jeremy Renner appearances on the show? It's likely that Absorbing Man's origins are changed from drinking a liquid spiked by Loki, since Wade is slated to appear in the first episode and keeping a Tom Hiddleston cameo secret anywhere in this tumblr-fueled day and age? Nah.
Original Build Team Leaves Mythbusters, Jamie And Adam So Alone
Meanwhile, the anime-inspired hero team Big Hero Six will not be making any more comic appearances until the release of the Disney animated movie of the same name.
Marvel editor-in-chief Tom Brevoort had this to say on his Tumblr: "If you had two things, and on one you earned 100% of the revenues from the efforts that you put into making it, and the other you earned a much smaller percentage for the same amount of time and effort, you'd be more likely to concentrate more heavily on the first, wouldn't you?"
If you're into digital comics, you can still get your Big Hero Fix (hehe) on Comixology.
