Gamescom has just wrapped up its four public days in Cologne, Germany, again drawing an impressive crowd and providing fans with plenty of new game-related information and footage.
Sony Can't Explain Selling 10 Million PS4 Units So Quickly
The event drew 335,000 people (which is actually down slightly from last year's 340,000 attendees) from 88 different countries, the event organizers announced. The more than 700 exhibitors themselves represented 47 different nations, as well.
Though guest totals were down, the official statement boasts about a six percent increase in trade visitors over last year. The post also explains that the quality of visits were improved due to reduced wait times for games. The organizers proudly state that Gamescom has positioned itself as the "world's largest event for interactive entertainment", and it is certainly larger and more international (helped by its geography) than E3.
