If you ever think you're spending too much time on reddit, at least now you can multitask and browse cat pictures while you're playing Xbox games.
Xbox One Major League Gaming App Launches Today Ahead Of The MLG Championship
The ReddX reddit app launched today for Xbox One, allowing easy browsing of the "Front Page of the Internet" right from your console. Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb posted a video showing off the app's features that make browsing your reddit feed, commenting and creating posts a streamlined experience on Xbox One.
The app includes expanded interaction with image posts, allowing users to view pictures and even zoom in from within the app. Image albums are easily accessible, letting users quickly click through and move on. Animated gifs gain extra funcationality as ReddX users can pause and rewind the animation, just as they would be able to do with a video. Speaking of video, ReddX includes YouTube compatibility, so users can view video posts without leaving the app.

Just like other Xbox One apps, ReddX can be snapped to the side of the screen so you can have your front page open while you're playing a game. You can also sign in to reddit through the app to make sure your carefully cultivated subreddit list remains intact no matter where you're browsing. For Kinect users, ReddX comes complete with voice commands, just in case the idea of the command "Xbox, Upvote" is too enticing for you to pass up.
Also coming to Xbox One is the MTV app, which allows Xbox owners to watch bonus content for their favorite MTV shows. Some full episodes are available for TV subscribers. The Twitch app is getting an update as well. A new "watch with friends" features shows Twitch users what streams their Xbox friends are currently watching and gives them the option of jumping into the stream. The update also introduced a Kinect feature that is able to follow and zoom in on players' faces as they're broadcasting.
