Moto 360 Smartwatch Specs, Price Leaked By Best Buy

Sneak A Peak At The Specs Of Motorola's Upcoming Smartwatch Courtesy Of Best Buy

Motorola is likely to show off its upcoming Moto 360 smartwatch at a press event on September 4, but you can get an early taste of what this watch has in store thanks to a premature product page on the Best Buy website.

According to the leak, the watch will hit shelves complete with a $250 price tag. The circular watch face is 1.8 inches in diameter and holds a 1.5-inch backlit LCD touch screen display with a 320 x 290 resolution. The whole thing comes in a stainless steel case with a plastic back all on a Horween leather band. The round body, sitting slim at just 0.4 inches thick, is visually more reminiscent of a traditional wristwatch than the square and rectangular forms that the wearable tech market is used to.

In terms of hardware, the Moto 360 comes with a pedometer, a heart rate monitor and a processor from Texas Instruments. A built-in microphone gives users access to voice commands, and a vibration feature allows for subtle alarms or notifications. The whole package is waterproof for short depths and durations and runs on a lithium-ion battery that, as reports earlier this month stated, recharges wirelessly via the included dock.

According to the Best Buy page, the Moto 360 is Bluetooth 4.0-enabled and is compatible with Android devices running Jelly Bean 4.3 or later. Best Buy has since taken down the Moto 360 listing, but you can still see a screenshot of the damage over at Droid Life.
