New MLB 2K12 Video Ad Features Kate Upton and $1 Million

MLB 2K12 will hit stores next month and the company 2K Sports will be marketing with their new cover gal, supermodel Kate Upton. The new video ad stars Kate with MLB players Justin Verlander, Jay Bruce, David Price and C.J. Wilson.  Kate, the gorgeous 19 year old model, shows the MLB players how to pitch the perfect game in the newest MLB 2K12 game.

"You take your thumb, go up, and then around, and that's a circle change," instructs Upton as she helps Tampa Bay pitcher David Price with his game controller.

Baseball's AL MVP and Cy Young winner Justin Verlander watches closely in the video "Finger Mechanics" along with his fellow MLB players to Upton's demonstration.  Upton then asks if anyone else needed help and all the players hands go up.

Kate Upton has been  gaining much attention after winning rookie of the year in the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.  It is no surprise that she will be gracing the cover of the 2012 SI Swimsuit issue.  Her appearance in the 2011 All Star Celebrity game may have led her to the new MLB 2K12 commercial.

The video ad runs alongside its $1 million dollar perfect game campaign where gamers  compete to be the best pitcher of all.  This year's contest does not require a video tape submission.  Rather, the contest features a leader board bracket style tournament  where gamers can play and have their result be automatically sent to the servers.

The final top eight players will play live and the winner will be required to earn the crown with on the spot gameplay.  These are just some of the new features that MLB 2K12 will offer to players.  If you can't wait until the game's release in March 2012, perhaps watching Upton's video ad can help kill the time.
