Yahoo has now released a teaser trailer for the upcoming season, which mostly focuses on looking back at the ridiculous events of years past to build hype for what is to come. Fans of the series need no outside influence to make them excited, given the show's cult-like following, but this teaser is perhaps a summary best suited to those unfamiliar with its whacky style and pop culture references.
The previous season previews are humorous (the only nod to season four a short gas leak scene, before it quickly moves on to season five), and the narration moves on to say how Yahoo can rebuild it, stronger, faster, and better than before. "Ratings? Where we're going, we don't need ratings," the narrator declares.

"Six seasons and a movie" became a running joke early on in the series--the characters would often utter those words in episodes. It turned into more of a pre-determined destiny than anything else, and there was a sense that a solution would be found--somehow, some way--to make a sixth season after NBC cancelled the show after the fifth. The movie portion of the gag is still up in the air, but if the emergence of Yahoo on the scene to give the show its sixth season tells us anything, it's that nobody should count against a Community film beating the odds.
