Yesterday we took a look at the redesigned goalkeepers, which should be smarter and more realistic than before with new programming and animations. FIFA 15's Ultimate Team--the extremely popular team-building card collection game mode--was also detailed by the developers, and there are some interesting features on the way.
FIFA 15 FUT will feature what is known as Concept Squads, which will let you plan out what your team would like look with cards you don't currently own. Here's how the developers describe the addition:
FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Legends Cards Revealed
"Think you know what would make a winning team? Concept Squads is a powerful new squad planning tool that allows you to plan future squads using the entire FUT player catalogue. Use Concept Squads to plan your next Transfer Market buys, find replacements for players, and test out different Chemistry combinations."
You will also be able to loan players in FUT, buying contracts for limited number of matches to help you out in big games or tough run-ins. This will add a different element to the mode, allowing temporary improvement of your team--though it's unclear what you need to spend to get them. Friendly Seasons are also now offered, allowing you to challenge friends one on one.
EA Sports has also replaced the 'Heading' base attribute with 'Physical' stat, which encompasses a more useful combination of Strength, Stamina, and Jumping. Stay tuned for more FIFA 15 news from Gamescom as the release date approaches.
