While we ensure the long wait till Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, PS4 gamers can finally see what all the fuss (and mess) is about with Hotline Miami. Dennaton Games' hit is being ported to the third and final PlayStation platform on August 19 in North America, once again with the help of developer Abstraction Games and publisher Devolver Digital.

Hotline Miami is a singular game, a dark, disturbing, and throughly addicting time. It sees you playing an assasin of mob members and makes you shoot and chop your way through hundreds of people and get judged on how varied you are in your killing. Your enemies die with a single bullet or blow of a melee weapon but then again, so do you, making for a fast, frantic time.
This PS4 version has the same wonderful content that PC, PS3, and Vita gamers know and love (or at least, were disturbed by), but there have been a few minor additions to the controls.

Gamers can now use DualShock 4′s touch pad to look around and lock onto enemies, and shake the controller itself to perform execution moves when they have an enemy pinned on the ground. Sounds of the execution will be amplified through the DualShock 4's speaker, an ingenious way to make it even more brutal.
Those of you who have already purchased the game on PS3 or PS Vita will be happy to hear that it's a cross-buy game, meaning that you will already own it for PS4 and can download and play it as soon as it's relased.
Those of you who have never played it are in for a dark, dark treat. Check out the gameplay trailer below for an idea of how it plays, but know that you won't really know until you get your hands on it yourself.
