The Assassin's Creed series got a lot of love at Gamescom. Rightly so, there is not one, but two new entries into the parkour-stealth action franchise coming this autumn. The second and more recent, Assassin's Creed Rogue, had two new walkthrough trailers shown off. Current gen fans rejoice, we may have a winner.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! Gamescom Trailer
Rogue will be the "darkest chapter yet". Set during the French and Indian War in North America, your character, a young Assassin named Shay, is sent on a mission that goes tragically wrong and forces Shay to quit the brotherhood. The Assassin's don't like that one bit and attempt to kill the young man.
"As Shay, you will experience the slow transformation from Assassin to Assassin Hunter. Follow your own creed and set off on an extraordinary journey through New York City, the wild river valley, and far away to the icy cold waters of the North Atlantic in pursuit of your ultimate goal to bring down the Assassins." You'll also encounter some familiar faces from past Assassin's Creed games, as well.

For the first time, Rogue will put players on the other side of the endless war between Assassin and Templar. Shay comes equipped with some fancy new weapons at his disposal, like his new air rifle which comes fitted with some custom ammunition.
The game will feature both land and sea battles like its predecessor, Assassin's Creed Black Flag. New features include:
New enemy tactics: Defend yourself from Assassins as they attempt to board your ship and overthrow your crew. Fight them off quickly to avoid losing too many crew members.
New weapons such as burning oil, which leaves a trail of fire behind to burn enemy ships, and the puckle gun, capable of delivering continuous machine-gun-like fire.
An arctic world full of possibilities: Ram through ice sheets to discover hidden locations and use icebergs as cover during naval battles.
Lastly, there are three new areas to explore. The chilly North Atlantic waters near Nova Scotia, a place called The River Valley which is on the American frontier and a combination of land and naval combat; and my hometown, New York City. Lovingly rendered as it was in the 18th century.
Assassin's Creed Rogue hits current gen consoles on November 11.
